OPTISEALED™ · Window installation

Get the window installation right — before it becomes a defect.

The window can be perfect on paper and still leak, because performance is won or lost at the install. OPTISEALED™ is an independent way to lift your window installation to a certifiable standard — map the method, train the crews, and prove it. Product-neutral, and the first look costs you nothing.

NCC 2025 · Vol 1 F3 & B1 · Vol 2 H2 & H1 · AS 2047

Why the install is the weak link

The rated window is not the installed window. Water, air and heat move through the window-to-wall interface — so the junction, not the label, governs how the building actually performs.

01

The interface leaks

Gaps at sill, jamb and head are where water ingress, draughts and heat loss start. A compliant window, badly installed, is a non-compliant building waiting to happen.

02

Practice is inconsistent

Ad-hoc sealing, no documented method and no QA trail turn up later as callbacks, warranty claims and reputation risk — and it varies site to site.

03

The code has moved

NCC 2025 tightened energy provisions and now enforces condensation management (F8 / H4) — exactly where prescriptive Deemed-to-Satisfy stops giving you cover.

A no-barrier way in

No commitment to change suppliers, no obligation, no site shutdown. We start by watching how you build now and finding the quick wins — then lift the method step by step.

Look — with no obligation

We come and watch a real install and find the quick wins first: the low-cost, high-impact changes your crew or installer can make straight away. Nothing to buy, nothing to commit to.

Map the method

We document how the window goes in now and set the performance the sealing and flashing must meet — vendor-neutral. Your systems, your suppliers; we specify the result, not the brand.

Train the crew

The FGIA Window Installation Master and Certified Lead Trainer trains your people to the detail, so the standard lives in your team — not in us being on site.

Certify & make it repeatable

Sign-off against a QA checklist with a photo record and hold points, so every install after ours is repeatable, traceable and auditable.

Verify the outcome

We model the sealed interface for condensation risk (the AIRAH DA07 Mould Index via TIRS™) and support airtightness targets — evidence to ISO 15099 / NCC your certifier can rely on.

What a lifted install gives you

Weather

Water stays out

A continuous, drained and sealed interface — not reliant on a lapped damp course.

Air

Blower-door ready

Detailing and sealing that can hold pressure under an airtightness test.

Durability

Built to last

A bonded, deliberate system designed for the life of the building.

Repeatability

Same result, every job

One trained, documented detail across every site and region.

Cost

Less rework

Fewer callbacks, water-damage claims and rectification down the line.

Health

Condensation controlled

Mould-Index evidence on the interface for health, amenity and moisture.

Independent & product-neutral. AFRC Lab is a third party. We map the method, specify the performance it must meet, train your people and verify the outcome — we don't supply, sell or endorse any product or brand. You procure systems and materials from your own suppliers; our role is to make the result defensible, whoever you buy from.
